International Society for Disease Surveillance

Mission Statement:
The mission of the International Society for Disease Surveillance (ISDS) is to improve population health by advancing the field of disease surveillance. In support of this mission, the Society provides an educational and scientific forum where epidemiologists, informaticists, public health practitioners, health care providers, statisticians, and others can work together to explore and address population health monitoring across institutional and professional boundaries.

Grants and Subcontracts: The International Society for Disease Surveillance may apply for and receive funding from agencies and foundations to support the above-stated mission. ISDS may in turn use these funds to administer grants and subcontracts to third parties. In the event of subcontracting or funding projects, ISDS policy is as follows: Overhead can be budgeted at no more than twelve percent of direct costs.

ISDS announces a cooperative agreement with the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO) and the CDC. Click here for details.
